41 years of experience in the Human Resources field working in the financial services industry, specifically in the community banking sector. Chuck joined First United Bank and Trust in 2014 as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Previously, Chuck was the SVP/Chief Talent Officer for Seacoast National Bank, one of Florida’s largest Community Banks, where he led the execution of all Human Capital Management strategies since 1992. Chuck began his career after college in the compensation field for Landmark Bank of Florida, where through numerous bank acquisitions, advance through line and support Human Resource positions with his final position of Florida Compensation & Benefits for Bank of America (NationsBank). Chuck has broad expertise in the areas of talent management and selection, employee development and succession, organizational leadership cultures, diversity & inclusion, compensation design and reward systems. Educational background includes a B.S. in Psychology & Sociology from Jacksonville University, and a M.S. in Industrial Psychology from the University of Central Florida. With a strong passion for community service, Chuck has served on and supported the Executive Committees of numerous non-profit organizations centered on child protection and early education. He has facilitated numerous leadership training and strategic planning programs for community organizations including local United Way’s; county and city governments, economic development and chamber organizations; early childhood education, children’s services organizations and county school systems. Chuck currently works with the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development, Garrett County DEI Committee, Garrett County HR Roundtable, Garrett Mentors, Garrett County Schools/Career & Technical Education Advisory Committee and the Oakland Lion’s Club. Chuck has been a presenter for a number of human capital management conferences and webcasts. Chuck’s deep Human Resources “tool kit” is centered around the application of human capital management resources to impact organizational cultures, which drives profitability. This strategy involves transforming cultures under 4 strategic pillars: • Expand Leadership Consciousness • Change Talent Management Processes • Develop Knowledge Power • Create a Strong Organizational Community When talent and culture are aligned, employees transform on the basis of mission and organizational objectives are achieved.
