David Duncan

With a banking career that began in 2004 as a part-time teller at State Bank of Southern Utah, David has steadily risen through the ranks. While completing a Finance degree at Southern Utah University, he was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager, managing consumer lending & teller operations. After graduating in 2007, David joined Zions Bank, serving as Customer Service Manager across four branches over eight years. In 2015, he returned to his hometown of Cedar City, UT, as Area Operations Manager. By 2016, he had earned an MBA from Western Governors University and took on a role as Bank Operations Manager, overseeing teams tasked with consolidating operations for eight affiliate banks. In 2018, David rejoined State Bank of Southern Utah as Branch Administrator, spearheading the growth of the branch network. Promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2022, he now leads teams across various departments, including central operations, business development, customer care center, facilities, and branch administration. Currently in his third and final year at Pacific Coast Banking School, David continues to enhance the strategic leadership in the banking industry. He resides in Cedar City with his family and thrives on strategic problem-solving and process improvement.
