Chap is a First Vice President of Retail Banking at MidFirst Bank where he has served in various leadership roles since 1995. With nearly three decades of experience, Chap has led large-scale projects in operational efficiency, product development, analytics, and event design, contributing to the Bank's growth and innovation. Beginning his career in the Bank's mortgage lending group, Chap advanced through positions including as a Financial Analyst in Consumer Lending, Business Analyst in Corporate Technology, Director of ATM Services, and as a deposit & investment Product Manager. After a brief tenure as an Investment Consultant at Asset Services Company in Oklahoma City, he returned to MidFirst take on roles such as Managing Director of MidFirst Insurance Agency, Director of Product Development, Analyst to the Chief Operating Officer, Wire Administration manager, Manager of Corporate Security, and Treasury Management Support Manager before moving into the Retail Banking area. Since 2017, he has helped develop the Retail group's analytics, streamline processes, improve customer experiences, and aided in the design of the "Banking Center of the Future" - a new concept location without a teller line allowing customers to be serviced by staff anywhere within the space. Chap's accomplishments include successfully managing enterprise-wide initiatives, managing marketing campaigns, improving employee productivity, eliminating waste and variation from processes, developing software systems, launching new deposit and loan products, and developing analytics. A graduate of Oklahoma City University with a BS in Finance, Chap holds certifications from the University of Oklahoma's Lean Institute (Lean / Six Sigma), John's Hopkins, and MIT both in analytics. He served as a board member for Friends of Multi-Sport overseeing Ironman-distance endurance event risk, management and production, and as a committee member and Assistant Race Director for the Redman Triathlon. A former member of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee at New Covenant United Methodist church, he also served on the boards of TRI-OKC (Oklahoma City's triathlon club), and Ballet Oklahoma. As a former president of the Lambda Chi Alpha Housing Corporate, Chap has demonstrated strong leadership professionally, and in civic organizations. A competitive triathlete, ultra-runner, and race event announcer, he embodies dedication and resilience in all pursuits. Chap resides in Edmond, Oklahoma, with his wife Stephanie, son Jackson, and Hans Solo (the Edmond, OK Police Department’s therapy dog).
