Derrick has been with PenFed for 10+ years and has over 30 years of professional experience leading regional and global retail/financial center operations for commercial and credit union institutions. He is responsible for 38 financial centers along with over 370 teammates serving members across the mainland United States, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas (USVI), Hawaii, and Guam. Derrick maintains a critical eye on performance KPI's, member experience, employee development, and cross business line collaboration to transform the organization. One of his many accomplishments included building and implementing a goal performance matrix that established key business performance indicators. In 2019, Derrick received the PenFed Employee Of The Year Award for his professional and dedicated service to PenFed. Prior to joining PenFed, Derrick was a Senior Vice President, Consumer Market Executive at Bank of America leading teams in both Baltimore, Maryland and within the Washington, D.C. metro area. He began his over 20 years at Bank of America as a branch manager and a consumer market manager. These positions provided him with the opportunity to manage, lead, and coach large teams with the key responsibilities of employee development, increased market penetration, establishing and exceeding sales goals, and delivering world class client experience. Derrick is enthusiastic about volunteering his time to organizations that give back within the community and to those organizations that support our military heroes. Derrick currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.
