John Menoni is the Senior Vice President of Branch Operations at Navy Federal Credit Union. Dedicated to delivering top-notch member experiences across a global network of branches and ATMs, he's a mission driven and service-oriented leader. He and his team are focused on providing personalized care that promotes the financial well-being of Navy Federal's millions of members and their families worldwide. John oversees a team of over 5,000 professionals spread across 10 countries. He's deeply involved in the planning, construction and maintenance of branch and ATM facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of service and efficiency. Additionally, he supports the training and development of Member Service Representatives, fostering a culture of excellence. Before joining Navy Federal Credit Union, John built a distinguished military career. Most recently, he served as Director of Navy Programming, a top financial management and budget position in the US Navy. His other service includes roles as a senior military official and joint-force commander overseas, where he demonstrated strategic leadership and operational expertise. He has served as an instructor pilot, a personnel officer and a financial manager, gaining extensive experience at all levels in the Navy. His leadership extended to commanding a helicopter squadron, an amphibious ship and multiple shore commands, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to service. John was trained as an aviator in Pensacola, FL, and his tours primarily focused on the Indo-Pacific and Central Command regions. His flag tours included key positions such as the Commander of Naval Installations Command, the Commander of Expeditionary Strike Group TWO and of U.S. Naval Forces Marianas, among others. Academically, John has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in Business Administration. He also holds a certification in Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School as well as multiple certificates in National Security Affairs, Executive Leadership and Strategy. Originally from Oak Park, Illinois, John now enjoys balancing his professional and personal life between Vienna, VA, and Cape Cod, MA. Outside of work, he treasures spending quality time with his wife, Julia, their three grown children and two dogs.
