Day 1 - Nov. 18 - GROWTH BY DESIGN: BUILDING SMARTER FOR A RAPIDLY CHANGING MARKET

2:10 PM Panel: Strengthening Fraud Prevention in the Era of Escalating Attacks

Fraud is surging, fueled by advanced tools like generative AI and voice cloning, which make it easier for bad actors to deceive both financial institutions and their customers. For banks and credit unions, safeguarding member data requires a proactive, multi-layered approach that combines cutting-edge technology, robust identity verification systems, and vigilant staff training along with incentives to catch and communicate anything odd in member interactions. This panel will bring together industry leaders to share actionable insights on how to combat this growing threat while maintaining customer trust and operational efficiency. Panelists will discuss how financial institutions can:

  • Evaluate risks and implement programs, tools, and processes to mitigate them
  • Leverage ai-driven tools to detect fraudulent activity early
  • Implement effective training programs to empower frontline and back-office teams
  • Plan for the unknown – i.e., putting processes and chains of command into place when unexpected fraud hits
