Matthew Benidt

Matthew Benidt is the Group Director for Branch Banking Operations at Western Alliance Bank. Western Alliance Bank is a +65B commercial bank headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona focused primarily on serving business clients nationwide through our 6 divisional brands. Western Alliance Bank operates 39 branches, primarily in the Southwest, including limited-service cashless branches in Chicago, Denver, and New York City, with a planned expansion for additional limited-service locations in the future. Matthew and his team are responsible for leading the small business, digital, branch, and virtual contact center teams to deliver recommendations to and service a full range of financial products and services for the bank’s largely commercial client base. Matthew’s team is focused on delivering an enhanced client experience by enabling teams to interact seamlessly with clients, upskilling people, improving process, and driving technological innovation while introducing specialists into the branch environment to further augment client service. Matthew and his team recently launched a digital account opening platform for the banks current and prospective commercial clients, a team of field-based small business bankers, and are launching a preferred banker program to further enhance service and develop relationships with clients. Prior to joining Western Alliance Bank, Matthew was the Chief Experience Officer and Head of Retail for two different credit unions and Senior Vice President at Bank of America. In addition to his role with the bank, Matt is a frequent speaker at industry events, previously served on the board of directors for the California Council on Economic Education, is actively involved in a leadership position with the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament and holds a commercial pilot certificate.
