Mike began his banking career at Bank of Brodhead in 1996 while still in high school. He is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin-Madison and was promoted to President and CEO of Bank of Brodhead in 2014. Under his leadership, the bank's holding company, Brodhead Bancshares, was formed in 2019, and Farmers & Merchants Bank of Orfordville was acquired in 2020. The bank expanded into the Milton, Wisconsin market in 2024, establishing its third branch. Mike is a member of the ICBA Rural America and Ag Committee. He founded Vault.Bank, a de novo digital brand of Bank of Brodhead in 2024 and is a seed capital investor in the fintech startup Linker. In addition to his banking responsibilities, Mike also owns a grain farming operation with his wife, Jamie. They have three children: Ella, Isaac, and Olive.
